The United Nations


The United Nations (UN) is a global political, economic and social organisation established after WWII. Membership of the UN is open to all nations that accept the obligations of the Charter and are willing, and able to carry out those obligations. Australia is in a position to increase its effectiveness as a fully engaged UN Member State.
